The Endowment Fund was established for the purpose of funding projects authorized by the Board of Directors designed to accomplish the corporation’s scientific and educational objectives.

The General Fund covers all of the VSO's normal operating expenses including the printing costs of VSO's publications and costs of electronic media, (listserve, websites, and electronic mailings), field trips, insurance, and awards given at the Annual Meeting.
